In 1989, my father, Ray Bowling, decided to leave his water well drilling and pump job and venture off on his own. He started his business, Bowling Pump Service, in the small town of Ixonia, WI. It took off fast and so in 1997 he decided to buy a drilling company and add onto his fast growing business.

When I graduated from LLHS in 1996, my dad was looking for someone do learn the pump service side of the business so he could focus more on the drilling. I started working with my dad in the summers and then moved to working with him full time. He was an amazing teacher and taught me the ins and outs of the water well business. Everything he taught me was invaluable and he instilled in me what hard work, customer service, and the drive to keep pushing forward, even through the tough times.

In December 2016, my wife and I took over the 25+ year old family business. With a few tiny changes, Bowling Pump & Well Service, LLC was established

My father was not only my dad, but my teacher, my boss, my role model, a hard core proud Marine Veteran, and my friend. Sadly, in December of 2021, he passed away. Although is gone his memory and legacy lives on through my business

Bowling Pump & Well Service is now a 34 year old family business and will continue to be. I love my career path and I love helping people when they need it, 24/7. I am nobody until someone is out of water. I like that brief moment when I can jump in and “save” the day - whether it is getting someone back in water at their home or getting a farmer water again to ensure the well being of his animals and his lifestyle. I love meeting new people and hearing their story!

I am married with 2 boys. My business partner and wife, Katie, who helps with the behind the scenes part of the business, also works full time outside of the house and raises our 2 active boys, Jace and Grady. They are 12 and 8 years old and active with hunting, fishing, and every sport they can sign up for! If I am not working at home or on a service call, you can most likely find me on a baseball diamond, basketball court, or in the woods with my boys.

Thank you for taking the time to hear about the background of my business and a little bit about me. We are a small business in a small town and appreciate all the support!

Thank you for your business!
